Day 1: from Fez – via – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – to Merzouga – Camel Ride – Desert Camp

Your 2 days desert tour from fes adventure begins with an early pickup from your hotel or riad in Fez. You’ll travel south in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, heading toward the stunning landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first spot is the peaceful town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European style architecture and clean streets . After a short walk and photo break, the journey continues through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you might spot wild Barbary monkeys.

The road then leads you through Midelt, a town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas mountains, where you’ll stop for a local lunch (not included). In the afternoon, you’ll drive along the beautiful Ziz Valley, known for its endless date palm groves and traditional Berber villages. Here, you’ll meet your camel guide and begin an unforgettable camel trek across the golden dunes, just in time to catch the breathtaking sunset over the Sahara Desert. After about an hour’s ride, you’ll arrive at your traditional Berber desert camp, where a warm welcome, mint tea, and a freshly prepared dinner await you. Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani (Optional) – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Middle Atlas – Fez

You’ll wake up early if you wish to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful and unforgettable sight. After breakfast at the camp, you’ll ride camels back to the edge of the dunes, or take a 4×4 transfer if preferred. From there, you begin your journey back to Fez.

Along the way, you can optionally stop in the historic town of Rissani, known for its traditional markets and local culture. You’ll retrace your path through the Ziz Valley, Midelt, and the cedar forests of Azrou, enjoying a few scenic breaks and lunch on the way.
